Newbie just ready to purchase, simple question re downloading

Hello,

Hope to purchase one or more modules today or tomorrow, but may be delayed in actually downloading onto my computer. I'd like to purchase now during the sale period, but can I wait some days or more to perform the actual download? And perhaps if you might review the basic process of installing the game, as It's been some time since I last downloaded IL-2 [1946]. Like I said, DEFINITE newbie!

Thanks to any responders

Once you make a purchase and activate your key(s), the download waits patiently to be used. It's available too should you need to re-download it sometime in the future.

All modules are tied to your account. You can download the client from your account page any time you want, and the content is immediately unlocked for you when you buy something?

Thank you for that; I just now tried to make the purchase at the Store, but after entering first debit, then credit, and finally Paypal trying to make the payment, I kept getting a  'cannot complete the purchase, please try back later message 3032' My cart was emptied, so hopefully #1 the sale went through and #2, I wasn't charged 3 times for the same items!

I put in a report at the Customer help page, but to whomever is in charge of the payment page, please, it is very disconcerting to have what should be a straightforward purchase attempt become a difficult, confusing and frustrating ordeal.

Follow up regarding my post above, it appears that a scammer used my cc in 2018 to attempt to set up an account on another gaming site managed by Xsolla, and therefore I was blocked for this reason, nothing to do with any failing of Il-2 Sturmovik staff; apologies for the inference, and for the small blizzard of customer service tickets I submitted while attempting to resolve this issue here on site.

I visited the Steam site as I was blocked from making purchases as above, and they required I purchase BOS along with my BOBP and Flying circus. If I purchase BOS on this site, I trust this will register with Steam or online Servers as meeting the requirement, yes? And if I don't purchase BOS now, I will be required to have it for any Steam purchases, and servers as well?

thanks.

Unfortunately, due to how Steam works, you have to have Battle of Stalingrad purchased on Steam to purchase anything else on Steam. Steam has a very rigid 'base game plus DLC' definition that Il-2 doesn't really fit.

However, once you have any purchase on Steam, you can link any content you have purchased on the web store and will be able to play all of it when you launch through Steam, enabling you to take advantage of some of the Web store sales even if you have stuff on Steam.

Some bizarre situation happened to me the last time I tried to buy through the web site, a gift for a new comer. I finally gave up and paypalled him the $20 so he could buy it himself. I'd forgotten about that.

Thanks much for this info; can you help me with one other Steam question: I just purchased BOS on Steam, and now need to download and install Steam. I want to install Steam both to my laptop and dedicated gaming pc - will this be a problem? I want to make purchases and download onto my laptop, then transfer files to my desktop. I will be flying offline here initially, but can you give a short summary of the process of using Steam for multi-player/online use?

Should be no problem, you can have steam installed on several PC's, but you can only play a steam game on one of those PC's at any one time.

Edit: BoS can be installed on both though
