Spitfire IX Cockpit Needles Texture alpha aliasing issue

Recommended Posts

Posted (edited)

Hey guys,

I don't know if I'm the only one getting this but, I've realized lately that on my Spitfire IX the left side needles (trim and brakes pressure) show an aliasing issue on the needle, it looks like the alpha edge is not totally transparent and it shows the geometry card edge with stepping.

I tried to replicate it in this image, this effect is amplified in VR by a lot, thats why I noticed. In 2D, when zooming into them, the problem dissapears but when keeping the normal zoom and looking at the it shows the jagged edge.

This problem is not happening in the Spitfire V for example, it just happens to me in the IX, and not in any other plane. I was wondering if someone could check theirs and let me know if it happens for them too?

I have in-game AA set to 4 and FXAA enabled too, and as said, this only happens for me in those 2 gauges and only in the mk. IX.

Let me know if someone else has the same issue or if you know a fix for this ?

Have a good evening!

Yes I see that as well, came here to see if the devs are on to it. Very noticeable on both sides of the elevator trim needle, and is also on the second hand on the clock.

Don't have the same issue with any needles in the VB Spit.
