Synchronization gear failure modeled?

I've been playing a BoBP career mission in a FW190-D9 on a fighter bomber intercept mission. I'm engaging an enemy figher (P47) and, after shooting a short burst, in the instance I see flashes over my target - BOOM - my propeller blades are gone. No, there weren't any debris flying through my prob arc. I've restarted the same mission 4 times and every time I got the same results (I was careful watching for any debris and there was nothing coming towards me).

So, does the game model synchronization gear failure (which in my understanding should probably mean I'm shooting away my own prob blades) or what's going on?:scratch_one-s_head:

If you restarted the mission and was able to reproduce the incident. Do you think you can do it again and make a track of it.
First time I heard of this

I've had debris I haven't been able to see destroy my prop a few times, in both BoX and FC. So either we're missing it or perhaps it isn't all being visibly drawn.

It is pretty rare for me but I too have seen that a few times.

Well, it's the first time I've noticed this myself. During my last attempt at that mission, after shooting at the enemy fighter (and hitting it) I was breaking away immediately to the opposite direction just to make sure I won't get hit by any debris - but it did't help. Just out of the blue - BOOM - my prob blades are gone.

I'm still wondering what happened.
