Lusekofte Posted February 14, 2020 Posted February 14, 2020 (Quote)Here are a couple of great flash from the past shots of our Martin B-26 Marauder over the Los Angeles basin during a photo shoot prior to me picking up the airplane and flying it back to Florida! Now here's a bit of a scary view, even with a seat belt on, hanging out the back end of a B-25 photo ship! I believe the photographer was Michael O'Leary with Air Classics magazine. After getting it home, I flew it to several airshows. We had an engine problem with it at Oshkosh and had to pull the engine. We got it fixed, flew it home, and then found out the other engine had the same problem! The airplane really needs a TOTAL restoration at some point, but right now we currently have other priorities. For the record, I was the last successful person to fly a B-26 out of McDill AFB (one a day in Tampa Bay) and can go pet it anytime I want, which is something no one else can say at this point in time!
