My Crosswind came with the #6 cam installed. Is that what most people are using? I don't want to risk disassembly to change the cam just to try it out.

Also, is anyone using lubrication on the cam roller? I was going to put some silicon spray on it, or maybe some graphite spray. But I have grease, too :)

Hey cardboard_killer,

In regards to the cams I believe it is up to personal preference. I like the cam that my mfg pedals came with, I do not notice the detent enough to change things out, it is just enough for me to feel where the center is . However as is shown, JimTM prefers the #4 cam so this sort of is the testament to this being a rather subjective preference. As far as switching the cams out,  as JimTM says, it is very simple and there is no way you can mess things up ( watch the video Jim has linked ).

I believe it will not damage anything if you want to put a small amount of lubricant on the cam roller, just don't over do, remember lubricants can attract dust so I would use a very light coat.

Enjoy those new pedals !!!

Cheers-sf-
