The US Army Air Corps will order 200 of the observation aircraft, which is based on the unsuccessful XF13C carrier fighter. By the time the United States enters the war they will only be used for antisubmarine patrols and training. Thirty will be lend-leased to the Soviet Union which will use them for artillery spotting."
