Spacebomber Posted February 9, 2020 Posted February 9, 2020 Hello Everyone! Is it possible to select the player's plane before the mission, like in the quick missions? And how? Thanks in advance, Spacebomber
Zooropa_Fly Posted February 9, 2020 Posted February 9, 2020 I presume under 'Mission Properties', you have dogfight selected. If you create a mission with single selected as your mission type, then you will have only the plane you selected for the mission available. If you wanted to fly a different plane in that mission you'd have to go back to the ME and change it. Anything saved as single should be selectable under 'Missions', in the main screen. S!
Spacebomber Posted February 9, 2020 Author Posted February 9, 2020 I have single selected. So I can't change the plane like in the quick missions?
Zooropa_Fly Posted February 9, 2020 Posted February 9, 2020 I don't think so. You'd have to re-save it as a deathmatch mission. It should then be saved in '...data/multiplayer/dogfight' folder. You run it by selecting MP/Dogfight/Create Server in-game. Note : In the ME you'd also have to utilise AF's and assign whatever planes you wish to them. S!
Spacebomber Posted February 9, 2020 Author Posted February 9, 2020 Ok. I don't understand some things. What is ME, MP, AF?
Zooropa_Fly Posted February 9, 2020 Posted February 9, 2020 Sorry, I thought you were making your own missions in the Mission Editor.. since we're in the Mission Making section ME = Mission Editor MP = Multi-Player AF = Air Field. If you're just playing existing missions, then no you can't select any plane. Stuck with the one provided. S!
Spacebomber Posted February 10, 2020 Author Posted February 10, 2020 I am making my own missions in the mission editor, I just didn't understand some things. So you are saying that if I make a deatmach mission then I can select my aircraft?
Zooropa_Fly Posted February 10, 2020 Posted February 10, 2020 (edited) Yes you can, in the Airfield properties box.. click on 'planes'. You can then add the planes you wish to be available, along with various properties. By running the 'deathmatch' mission as I mentioned above, it's just like MP if you've ever tried it. Map loads up, you click on an AF, and select from the plane set you added in the ME. S! Edited February 10, 2020 by Zooropa_Fly
