NSDQLearmoredbadger Posted February 8, 2020 Posted February 8, 2020 Is there any Rumours/ confirmation About the Commander Seat Getting a Pintle Mounted Gun Like With the Russian KV1 S and the American M4A3 50 Cal?
airacobrafan Posted February 8, 2020 Posted February 8, 2020 Would be really cool, especially because it is on the promo images on the Il-2 Store :D

Cacodemon96 Posted February 9, 2020 Posted February 9, 2020 There was an angled barrel attachment to StG44 called Krummlauf, which according to Wikipedia was widely used with Ferdinand. I'm not sure whether it fits TC timeframe though.

You have nothing to shoot at in TC with this. You would need soldiers attacking your tank. You will not hit anything beyond arm‘s length. Basically when you’re dead and don‘t know it yet. It is about the daftest (or most desperate) thing ever installed in a tank. But as Luke said, much later than TC scenarios.
migmadmarine Posted February 10, 2020 Posted February 10, 2020 AA Machine gun mounts were not in service yet for German tanks IIRC this would be more of a 1944 thing, tend to see them on Panzer IV Hs, Panther A/Gs, Tiger mid/late, etc. Also, they were not issued a third machine gun for this mount, but would remove either the hull or coax MG to place on the mount, hence their generally being used for Anti-Jabo use during road marches, and re-mounted in their usual location for combat, as they would be more useful there under those locations. 1
