Weird buzzing from my amp / bass shakers

I made a DIY wooden flight rig with Dayton Audio "puck" transducers. There are 4 transducers connected to a cheap Lepy amplifier. Things work great most of the time, but sometimes the amp kicks into a weird high amplitude buzzing. If I tap (gently) the side of the amp, the buzzing stops. At first I thought it was the transducers not being wired correctly, or my wiring being loose, but I've soldered all the joints and then put twist caps on top, and the problem persists. I was thinking it could be a problem with the speaker wire connecting into the amp woofer out, that maybe it's loose, but I've soldered those too. The fact that I can tap the side of the amp to fix the issue really makes me wonder if I just have a dodgy amp?

Any thoughts? If it's the amp, any suggestions on a cheap-but-not-crappy amp to use? The Lepy was like $30 or something so it's definitely on the cheap side of things. I guess I could also try the non-sub channels instead?

tapping or simply touching?

If you're just touching it and the hum/buzz goes away then it's most likely the ground.. check the ground. If the ground wire to the amp is OK then you need to check the outlet in the wall to make sure ground is connected.. Or try another outlet somewhere else.. Also, make sure the powerstrip (if used) is ok too..

Definitely tapping. I've rejigged my setup to use left/right on the amp instead of the sub output, plus a low-pass filter on Voicemeeter to emulate the hardware low pass on the amp. So far the problem hasn't recurred, but I do seem to have to turn the volume up pretty high on the amp.
