ErikMetha Posted February 4, 2020 Posted February 4, 2020 (edited) I currently use a Thrustmaster Hotas entry level joystick to fly and its great but Im looking for a better more responsive controller that gives me more of a flying feel. Would the Logitech Flight Yoke system be a good choice for this? I already own equipment like the Thrustmaster T150 driving wheel and pedals so I am no stranger to big desk mounted controllers.https://discord.software/ fetlife vshare Edited February 9, 2020 by ErikMetha
MasserME262 Posted February 4, 2020 Posted February 4, 2020 the saitek one? I had it and got tired of it. Its "clunky" as ****. Bought the Thrustmaster 16000M, no problems so far. Also, if you want something realistic, actually depends on what you want to fly. If it's a Ju52, a P38 or another plane without a stick, then a yoke its ok. But I wouldn't go for the saitek one. Don't know about other yoke options sadly.
cardboard_killer Posted February 4, 2020 Posted February 4, 2020 I assume you have rudder pedals so the loss of the twist function of a stick doesn't matter? I use a CH yoke and prefer it over the TM entry that I had (probably same as yours). I bought it when the P-38 came out, but haven't flown it much except with Yak. Maybe (probably?) a higher end stick would be better, but I've used my allowance on rudder pedals (crosswinds), so no stick for me in the short term.
Lusekofte Posted February 4, 2020 Posted February 4, 2020 I had a saitek cessna yoke it was good for all planes. But the other one have too bad movement making fighters difficult to fly. I had a ace yoke worth 1600$ and it was great. Now I have a honey comb yoke worth 299$ and it might even be better it turn 90 degrees both way and are excellent to fly P 38 with. I use my maxflight stick for planes with stick

Is that remarkably better at the Honey Comb Yoke?
Lusekofte Posted February 5, 2020 Posted February 5, 2020 Yes the honeycomb are better and smoother. Cessna yoke got better placement of buttons on yoke. For a combat sim they are a bit misplaced but one get used to it

They were the reason, why I decided to take this one instead of the other Saitek Yoke. I like the switches at the front of the honeycomb. I might buy one in near future. 1
VR-DriftaholiC Posted February 10, 2020 Posted February 10, 2020 Most people dislike the logitech yoke. If you can afford it the honeycomb is amazing.
