Reggie_Mental Posted February 4, 2020 Posted February 4, 2020 I can after a lot of tweaking, get CLOD working with Trackhat, but it is such an embuggerance, I haven't got into CLOD at all. Will TFS 5.0 improve things like this? Will it make control setup easy, which is the other major embuggerance of CLOD that stops me playing and getting on with this game. RSVP 1
Team Fusion Buzzsaw Posted February 4, 2020 Team Fusion Posted February 4, 2020 You should have no problem getting a joystick track hat to work. This has been built into the game since the original version. Many people prefer to use head tracking devices and software, and CoD works great with those... including the free software.
OBT-Lionel Posted February 4, 2020 Posted February 4, 2020 Before using a Trackir, I used trackhat and never had any problems.
Reggie_Mental Posted February 4, 2020 Author Posted February 4, 2020 I find I have to launch CLOD, and then launch the PS Eye camera and finally launch Trackhat. If I open CLOD with the eye and trackhat running it goes berserk. The joystick and axis controls are poor and clunky and lack refinement. Movement Curves seem to make little or no difference and consequently aircraft are hard to fly with the required precision for air to air gunnery. If I spent a solid day on it, maybe I'd get it to an acceptable setup. But it's not anywhere near as user friendly as IL2 BoS and onwards.
