Mo74 Posted January 27, 2020 Posted January 27, 2020 Hi all, I'm a bit late to the party, I know... Long-time fan of the original Il2 games here - just picked up BOS on sale in the outside hope it would run on my minimum sys req. laptop - I was amazed and delighted to see it plays quite smoothly and still looks amazing on lower settings. Best of all I love that BOS has retained the Il2 magic that I remember from nearly 20 years ago! Needless to say I then went off and bought the other Il2 modules. I'm mostly a single-player type of chap but happy to hear any Il2 recommendations on DLC, multiplayer servers and single-player missions - speaking of which I am trying to wrap my head around the mission editor. Anyway, hope to be playing in the 'new' Il2 era for a long time to come and checking in on the forum. Cheers, Mo. 5
Barnacles Posted January 28, 2020 Posted January 28, 2020 Welcome back. Honestly, all the expansions have something to offer, my fave is the Kuban campaign myself. The scenery is great and the planesets combined with BoS will give you most things to fly. 1
ShamrockOneFive Posted January 28, 2020 Posted January 28, 2020 Welcome back! Hope to see you and many more original series IL-2 fans jumping back into the latest version. Glad to hear it runs so well!

You can find a lot of information about the mission editor under the "Mission Editor and Multiplayer Server Guides" section of the IL-2 Sturmovik Resources post. Welcome to the new IL-2!
