TWC_Ace Posted January 27, 2020 Posted January 27, 2020 (edited) Yes, it was confirmed by real pilots from our community, the nav lights cant be seen so far away in RL like it is currently in the game, specialy during the day (sunny day even worse). Not only that they can be seen too far away but the intensity is the same as distance increases. This must be looked upon because its been abused by some teams online in any possible way. [DBS]Browning Posted January 27, 2020 Posted January 27, 2020 Forget nav lights, short of a laser, no artificial light that can be carried on an aircraft can be seen that far in daylight.
TWC_Ace Posted January 28, 2020 Author Posted January 28, 2020 (edited) This si why they moved this topic from general. To trash it. Edited January 28, 2020 by =VARP=Tvrdi 1
gimpy117 Posted January 28, 2020 Posted January 28, 2020 if only Nav lights could not be seen at 10km and aircraft weren't invisible at 1km to some players

It's even more than that: They're basicly invisible during daytime - which is precisely why they're not required to be used when the sun is up. At night-time, under good conditions, you can see them for dozens (plural!) of miles. Fun-fact: There's something wrong with the port nav-light of the P-51. It's shown ABOVE the wing once you have any distance to the airplane. A nice way of IDing the airplane, though...
Lusekofte Posted February 2, 2020 Posted February 2, 2020 This is why i never open bombbay in A 20 too early. And that is a bitch. Because they drag and slow the plane and you have to adjust speedsetting in bombaim. That idiotic light that turns on when it open is a beacon 1
Remontti Posted February 3, 2020 Posted February 3, 2020 These navlights are like some kind of cloaking device. You see a plane below you but you can't ID it. When you zoom the view to get a better look the navlights get brighter and you see less of the shape. I suspect that some people just use this as an exploit 1
