Tank controlls with Xbox pad

Hello,
Recently I've tried using the xbox pad as input device for tank crew. The problem I have is that I can't get right stick to aim the gun. What should I do to get it working?
Other than that the pad works just fine, I could completely switch to it if it weren't for the aiming.

No problems with the buttons , but I can't get the axes working ?

Yes, my Xbox pad was plug'n'play.
I am able to drive, look around in 1st person view, reload, change ammo type and reticle distance. The only thing missing is to move the gun with it

Yes, using A controller or axis for the turret is a long standing desire and arguably a game changer for tank crew.  Can you imagine being able to sit in a swivel chair in VR with a Xbox controller in your hand spinning the turret.  It would be so cool

I am using DS4Windows.
I suggest you to try playing this sim with Dualshock4, you can configure the touchpad to control tank/plane camera FOV and it helps a lot and frees your right stick to bind for another controls.

Can you aim the tank's gun with it though?
I don't fancy buying a second controller especially if xbox one is better

I use Gremlin 

And im taking control of the mouseball like this 

And set the maximus speed to 100 or higher
