New player to the sim from Florida. Looking for a unit. Halp

Hi there. 

 

Im a fairly new player to this genre and would like to join a Squadron. I have BOS, BOM, BOK and will be eventually getting all of the modules. I am available to play on mon, wed and fri and sat est. I know its easier to check the squadrons page, but instead of spamming multiple threads, I have decided to just make this thread instead. I am also finding it difficult to figure out which squadrons are still active or not. I would like to experience all aircraft but i want to specialize in bombers mostly (i will switch to another air-frame if the mission demands it). The sides dont matter either but German aircraft are fun for me, but i do like the challenge of allied aircraft. Emphasis on being a noob to this sim if it wasn't apparent.

 

If anyone reading this thread can you please help me out by directing me to your recommendations. I have already contacted one squadron and messaged another and currently awaiting responses from both as i have further questions. I cant wait to get into this community of ww2 sims. I am just trying to get a bowl of suggestions so i can choose whats best for me.

If you like German I highly recommend SCG........ they have different units, Fighter, Attack, and some Bomber stuff.  They are a good bunch of guys.  One thing I highly recommend is you buy BoBP.

Hey shadow, glad to see a new sim pilot from the same state!

 

to help you out with your quest for a squadron, i highly recommend SCG, who area  good bunch of laid back guys who have some of the best pilots in the sim, and who are looking for pilots on any end of the "Skill" Spectrum. They have members all around the world, most of which are from the US if i'm correct.

 

I also recommend ACG if you're looking for a squadron/community who does campaigns, ACG has a mission every Sunday at 19:00 GMT (2:00 PM EST) We have around 6 squadrons for each faction ranging from 6-12 players in each. These campaigns are tried to be as historical as possible while also offering some balanced and action pact missions. Currently we're just finishing up our "Leaning Forward" Campaign in cliffs, which after the fact we'll be switching over to the Stalingrad theater.  If you are interested at all for either group let me know, i can get you set if you're still looking. Salute!
