what to do when in clouds with artificial horizon

When in clouds I tend to rely on the artificial horizon to remain level.

However, as can be seen in the video I always tend to loose my bearings when I look away.

What can I do to get the artificial horizon back to straight and level?

Try to keep that horizon line in sight, in the vid it went up out of sight as you dove.

If you loose it try compass + climb indicator that will give you a rough idea of what the plane is doing.

Yeah that is the problem. Good idea to check the climb indicator.

thing is I have no idea where my wings are. Should I just stick with pitch control?

You can check the ball, on most planes it comes with a needle that goes either left or right depending on what direction your turning towards.

on your attitude indicator there are lines on the top of the instrument that show your bank. When you got disoriented, you banked to almost 90 degrees. If you lose sight of your horizon line, you can reference that bank attitude and your vsi/altimeter to figure your attitude. Just roll  level and adjust pitch and power for what you want.

Thank you for advice I will do as suggested.

I also watched the video from Requiem suggested by JimTM and it suggested a thing called a radial scan.  I think this scan will help alot in my situation.

After extended testing, it was determined unicycle type landing gear was not a good fit for the A-20.

That was the first time I had ever seen that with a A-20.
