Black-Moose Posted January 25, 2020 Posted January 25, 2020 Hello I am Moose1x1 Just started playing, I have been trying to tweek my graphics when I discovered this (first pic.). I don't know what I did but hopefully someone may be able to help. The rest of the pictures are of my settings any help would be greatly appreciated. Also any tips for my setting? Thanks Moose I will send other info in a reply Again thanks for any help
ironk79 Posted January 26, 2020 Posted January 26, 2020 VR+HW+Settings is a huge topic with a lot of variables - what tips do you expect exactly? Do you want better performance? I guess you play VR, what HMD do you use?
Black-Moose Posted January 26, 2020 Author Posted January 26, 2020 ironk79 Thanks for responding. I am trying to find out what I did to my settings to make my screen look like its shredding in the first picture on the right. I have since put everything back to default. I just don't want to make the same mistake again.
ironk79 Posted January 26, 2020 Posted January 26, 2020 ok, hard to say, never had encountered such a "setting"
Black-Moose Posted January 26, 2020 Author Posted January 26, 2020 Thanks for looking hope to see you in the sky sometime <salute>
Hartigan Posted January 27, 2020 Posted January 27, 2020 Just leave all default except Power management:Prefer maximum performance. Most of these setting has no effect on VR
Black-Moose Posted January 27, 2020 Author Posted January 27, 2020 Hartigan thanks for responding I will do that.
chiliwili69 Posted January 30, 2020 Posted January 30, 2020 For the love of God, do not put 1.4 Pixel Density in Oculus Tray Tool. This is like putting 196% supersampling in SteamVR. Reduce it to 1.2 (like 144% SS SteamVR), your 1070 will have breath then. And you are not going to gain significant extra details of view going beyond 1.2/1.3. Also, if you use 1.2, you don´t need to put in game AAx4, with AAx2 is quite OK.
Black-Moose Posted January 30, 2020 Author Posted January 30, 2020 Chiliwili69 thanks for responding. I have reduced it to 1.3 I will try 1.2 and AAx2 tonight you are the first to actually understand what my problem was. I appreciate the help hope to see you in the sky <Salute>
[CPT]Crunch Posted January 31, 2020 Posted January 31, 2020 I've got an AMD card, but if I had AA selected in game and had some form of it selected on card I'd get shredding of the game picture. They ran exclusive, one or the other.

If you use more than that, it smushes the pixels together causing bandits to blend into the background until they are really close.
Black-Moose Posted February 3, 2020 Author Posted February 3, 2020 Thanks Alonzo I try it out tonight <Salute> hope to see you in the sky
