The team building a Lancaster mod for DCS have released an AI version:

Work on the flyable version is continuing, but as always with free mods (and more or less everything else on DCS), it'll be done when it's done, and given the effort they have been putting in to make it as authentic as possible, that may be quite some time yet. Should be worth the wait.

I found a way to Enjoy most modules one fly. Just ignore the unfinished parts of it. 
Whats bother me and pisses me off is ED’s own modules delivered half baked and seemingly never going to be completed. Like the CH 47 Chinook. It is like the Hercules mod but payed for
