Dear All,

to make it clear for everyone. The price policy will remain the same as we announced it in October:

  Цитата

How much will it cost?

DCS: Normandy 2 will be available as a complete map for $59.99 USD with 20% off while in Early Access. If you have either DCS: Normandy 1944 or DCS: The Channel maps, you can purchase Normandy 2 for $14.99 USD. If you own both, you can purchase DCS: Normandy 2 for only $9.99 USD.

Not officially, but I guess $50 or so if you don't have Normandy 1944 or Channel maps.

If you already have those maps , should be around $10.

You can get 50% off with your first DCS purchase though.

You lost me...talking Corsair sight. :)

I think I am starting to get the hang of landing the Donkey, notice this time I did not nose over.  With just a little more practice I think I will have it down pat........:dash:

Its actually not to bad landing it.

Granted you have to get past it trying to kill you on takeoff first to find that part out ?

I understand that the old Normandy map will kind of be absorbed into the new Normandy map, with both versions also working on Normandy-based servers, but what about the Channel map? It will still be a separate map, but why? Doesn't the the new Normandy map cover the old Channel map area almost entirely?

Two different manufacturers (Channel from ED, Normandy from Ugra) and two different kind of map technics – You just cannot put them together. That's all.

The Mossie was pretty unforgiving when I first tried to take off in her. Now I feel comfortable with the whole gambit, takeoff, in flight, weapons and landing. The Donkey on the other hand is literally kicking my 'Ass' during the final rollout from 100mph down to a controlled taxi speed. I am convinced the 'Rata' is possessed in this part of my landings. I have completed maybe 2 out of 20 landings.?

Yeah Mossie at first is somewhat tough to tame for take offs and landings but once you get it can make some really nice ones. That is all I have been working on with it so far, need to move on to learning cold starts and combat with it.

Check you don't have any when learning to land.

I could have been flying it for weeks now - just no time.

That said - a Hell Hawks prequel can slowly begin soon. The map looks amazing.

I thought so too.... DCS and Steam are like two arguing spouses...never on the same page ? I'm holding off until it clearly says "for Channel map owners" too....

I gonna buy it and see if I can get a p 47 campaign for it. But I am perfectly alright with the channel map for my little ww2 flying.
But all that come when I eventually get home

was about to buy it but did not finish checking out....  I think if you are one of the old founders/funders it was included in the  WWII content we pre-paid?

or do we need to buy to have the full detailed map, and not just the update that goes to everyone?

Yes Normandy was free with the original kickstarter but surely the new map has to be paid for?
I've asked on the DCS forum now anyway, hopefully get a straight answer.

Flew from west Normandy to Paris, the scale is incredible, great scenery all the way.  One has to keep track on the compass, this terrain is easy to lose orientation, there's zero repeatability in the textures.  Yet there's enough ridges and river valleys one could get familiar over time.  That's a lot of space for a prop.  Paris is impressive to say the least.  Sorry, I had to test out the hit box on the tower, didn't mean to scar it up with shells.  Pretty sure I can get a Huey inside it on the lower level flats though.

The warning comes because the V2.0 is an upgrade to an existing product. That product, as of today has been rolled into the new 2.0 map.  If you dont buy the upgrade you get the new areas but in low res - with the upgrade you get the hi rez.
