I love the free mod, but a full scale module is very much appreciated. I've read over there on the ED Board, that Wags said that there are 4 more third party modules waiting to be announced! That's an avalanche of new content coming our way. So, Spad and now Tonka makes 2..

AndyJWest Posted September 16, 2022 Posted September 16, 2022 I think I'll leave the 'losing my mind' bit until I see a bit more evidence that we're actually going to see all these new projects. Most seem to be at a very early stage of development, and there is a long history of announcements from new developers leading to nothing. 1

Evidently they are making all of these announcements so early to allow third party developers to "call dibs" on aircraft to eliminate the potential of different developers trying to do the same aircraft which has happened in the past according to BigNewy
Guest deleted@83466 Posted September 16, 2022 Posted September 16, 2022 There has to be a least some level of rigueur to the process…C Serpent Fly-By-Night Game Studio can’t just say they are doing the F-117. So if you have an announcement in the official news, there must be some weight behind it. I personally haven’t heard the name AviaStorm in any of the flight sims I’ve had before, but they are billed as having extensive experience in this area.
dburne Posted September 16, 2022 Posted September 16, 2022 Wow seems ED is kicking it into high gear of late. That is ok I am set for a bit I think, with all the modules I currently own and focused heavily on the Hornet which I still am learning new stuff on and the Apache still in early stages. I just could not imagine taking anything else on at this time, at least to the level I want to learn them. 1

If they've gone so far as to announce a module, you can be sure there's something behind it. 1

Gambit21 Posted September 16, 2022 Posted September 16, 2022 I've always liked that plane. No interest in it in DCS, but happy for all of those that have been waiting/hoping for it. Life is good.
Alexmarine Posted September 16, 2022 Posted September 16, 2022 Nowadays I only get swayed by ground pounders, the Tornado does fit the description... Now if they announced a Su-17M3/4 on the other hand...

Alexmarine Posted September 17, 2022 Posted September 17, 2022 The Tornado is going to be the definitive troll plane online in DCS: one or two runways destroyed and it's going to get banned or ammunition restricted in less than a week 2

More than a wall, at full AB at 60ft AGL, I would say some snap-shots, if you even have time to register that they are shooting at you at that speed
Guest deleted@83466 Posted September 17, 2022 Posted September 17, 2022 Why do they have to have two brave souls locked inside though??
DBFlyguy Posted September 22, 2022 Posted September 22, 2022 (edited) This will be another awesome campaign when it's released! Looks like the player is taking on the role of Meagan Flannigan (voiced by her) who was one of the pilots in the documentary: This is the documentary that the campaign is based on, HIGHLY HIGHLY recommend, its available on Amazon Prime: Fairly recent Tomcast episode featuring Paco and Meagan about the documentary: Edited September 22, 2022 by DBFlyguy 4

Lusekofte Posted September 24, 2022 Posted September 24, 2022 (edited) It is kind of not in my mind. All sorts of modules being made, and discontinued. None of them are remotely connected to existing map or other modules. I mean, since Huey showed up, I awaited a Vietnam map, we got a small island in Pacific, with only modern ac to fit. DD_Arthur Posted September 25, 2022 Posted September 25, 2022 I’ve flown Brize - Hong Kong in a Herc. I’ve also flown Ryanair 737’s a few times. I know which one I prefer….. 1
Lusekofte Posted September 25, 2022 Posted September 25, 2022 Norwegian service men and women usually hitch hike one them just once , and rather buy a plane ticket next time. Cold, noisy and bumpy ride. Fortunately these conditions is not in simmers world. I am pretty fond of the mod, and really happy for official release

The AH/MH/OH-6 definitely look cool and I'm sure are fun to fly in a nice peaceful situation but they are nothing more than a target in pretty much every environment where the enemy is even half competent... I still remember one of my high school history teachers talking about her husband who flew them in Vietnam, there was an instance where he was shot down multiple times within the span of a week doing the hunter killer mission they used to do with Cobras overhead, those Loach guys had balls of steel ... or a death wish... or both ? I'm bummed we're not getting a Cobra in DCS, I was hoping eventually we'd get a Whiskey Cobra which would've been nice competition for the Hind since it could carry Sidwinder's unlike the S and F models.
