Tbomas posted a while back about “basically being a twat in the pattern” or similar (flying the 2000) and Der Twatwagen was born ?

Emu's? We lost that war.....................seriously though why did they not add a bit more North to the North Australia map and get PNG as well?

Just a routine Harrier landing. If only I could do it routinely. Still far too prone to messing up at the last minute, and getting the wobbles, or dropping hard enough to bounce...

Well I thought that was great. Well done !

And not only that but then you did a reverse park. I see people in the street that cannot reverse park their car.  ?

Thanks.

As for backing up, from the real-world NATOPS manual, on deck handling:

What this doesn't tell you is what happens if you brake too hard while going backwards, if the tail is already hanging out over the side. It tends not to go well...

The mod is actually so good that I wont hold my breath for this one.

But they really get the point now, I guess chinock and AH 60 is up next.

If they straighten up things in the game we have a winner

Wow - ED/DCS is really moving along. Very nice.

3D mesh and texture quality etc is not quite up to standard from what I’ve seen.

It’s cool, but I would prefer if it wasn’t some modern 21st century C-130, simply because it restricts the eras of “realistic” usage.   An old-school C-130 would have been fine in both modern and vintage scenarios, but not one with a glass cockpit.

I always welcome planes like this. But the mess one encounter sometimes make me think. Why are they running sprint speed in a marathon, when it comes to deliver planes.

I rather see them do a little work on core game and finnish some earlier work

Well I think you’re the first person to ever accuse them of “running sprint speed” ? Also once again we’re talking about another 3rd party here.

If they are attracting 3rd parties it is probably to the benefit. What is needed is many more 3rd parties for ED to take a cut from that they can spend the windfall on the staff and time needed to improve the core.

Yeah, they've got 3rd party developers coming out the wazoo lately! They must be doing something right.  Hopefully that'll allow ED to tackle some of those long wanted core features like vulcan, dynamic campaigns, etc.... time will tell...

If they could nail muticore it would be a start. The games heavier missions are much more agile if run on the d-server but missions dont show areas of damage amonst other things.

I'm so happy with this announcement! I love the free mod, but a full scale module is very much appreciated.

I've read over there on the ED Board, that Wags said that there are 4 more third party modules waiting to be announced!

That's an avalanche of new content coming our way.

Ok, I've downloaded the Bronco. Testing will have to wait though, for obvious reasons....

I wouldn’t be shocked to see that announcement this year either.

There are only so many “A List” jets - and they’re rapidly being accounted for.

At some point I’d like to see a full fidelity A-10A, F-16A etc.

That would be absolutely fantastic. Having a ton of fun with the FC3 A-10A on the Cold War server.

I've had a quick play around with the Bronco. Still WIP, clearly, but it shows a lot of promise.

Probably more a Vietnam variant than a Korean war one, though I will definitely keep an eye on it
