I keep my DCS install updated as soon as the come out, really doesn't take all that long for me.

Back when I built this new machine in Jan, I re-downloaded everything to start fresh, while it took a while was not too terrible.

I'm certainly no fan of ED, I think their treatment of their playerbase and the endless beta BS with outstanding bugs for years is scandalous, but I can say the game does look that good. They have done a fantastic job on the lighting inside DCS world. If only they had the same degree of skill involved in their "lighting department" in their project management and other departments. It is DCSs only saving grace.

Been with dcs since the very beginning, their comms and how they interact with the player base is amazing now.  Have many conversations in the discord and forums now.  Back in the early years it certainly was rough.  Corsair is being presented tomorrow also, word is carrier and a pacific map also.  Great times ahead in the full fidelity realm of dcs.

Agreed, even in VR the Hornet flying over the Persian Gulf is gorgeous.

I love that Person Gulf map! Even in 2D.

 

If there is a Corsair I'm buying it in one fat second. Just doing rough weather carrier landings in DCS with a Corsair would be a sim on its own.

Corsair is a cool plane. And I buy it just for that reason. One can do a Korea scenario with it

But as always we have planes like I 16 to now soon to come Corsair. One could cry, or one can swallow another pill of what could have been, and move on. 
In my mind it is great and a tragic thing at the same time

And the French had it too. So You can pretend to fly it in 1947 on a training sortie in Northern France. ?

The carriers? no, the one coming with the F-14 is the Forrestal-class. These are for a separate module with full deck crew etc

Seems Zero is coming too (from phil style youtube channel)!

I hope they'll get more focus on PTO than they did with Normandy so we can really recreate and feel pto battles (ww2 carriers and other ships, map, torpedo tech, bombers).

High hopes but still!

Looking forward to fly it in VR as being my favourite ww2 theatre but not going to purchase it to fly only one plane on wrong map and out of native enviroment so i hope they'll do this right!

A Pearl Harbor map for the Zero and Corsair to fight over is probably almost ready.
