jeanba Posted January 23, 2020 Posted January 23, 2020 (edited) Hello I am going through the adv config files and have some questions : In "fighter missions type" : what is the difference between the CAP and patrol missions ? What are "offensive missions" ? Also: In "Flight: you have "base alt for period" and then 1 to 5: What time span / dates correspond the numbers (1 top 5) ? Thank you in advance As a side note, I found that having between 2 and 8 planes (2+6) for all missions is very nice for allied fighters over BodenPlatte Edited January 23, 2020 by jeanba
Goffik Posted February 23, 2020 Posted February 23, 2020 Regular patrols are where you patrol a route close to and above the front lines, looking for and engaging enemy planes entering your territory. Offensive missions are patrols into enemy territory, deliberately trying to entice the enemy up to fight. I believe CAP means Combat Air Patrol, which usually means you'll be protecting something, either a specific area or a ground unit... so PWCG's equivalent of career river crossings and the like. No idea what base alt settings mean or do... I've been wondering that myself.
