HOW TO crosswind land a Tempest CRAB APPROACH TECHNIQUE

Hello!

I was flying on the Combat Box server and I faced a map with some serious crosswind conditions.

I was recording and, because I managed to land my Tempest properly, I decided to edit a video about crosswind landing tecnique.

Yeah, much more 'user friendly'! It doesn't impose but it tells the watcher exactly what you're doing. Perfetto!

The principle is always the same...

 

Just some feet above ground, say, 20 ft, start to uncrab and upwing low, to start a forward slip.

Different aircraft will aloow for different amounts of upwind wing down, while staying away from a wingtip strike or prop strike on twins / multi-engine.

 

Some prefer the fwd slip approach starting from a higher height AGL.

Sure, I'll test this technique as well, but it's actually the opposite of the crab technique I used
