Fullscreen - silly question

Hi,

 

I have general questions concerning Fullscreen mode:

- When does this mode make sense?

- Is there a performance gain?

 

Thank you for your contribution. Btw. my system configuration is in my signature and I'm running a 27" monitor with 1920x1080 / 60 Hz.

Some say there is a small performance improvement, I personally can not perceive a difference.

I see 20 FPS more when I have this in fullscreen, opposed to windowed.
