kestrel79 Posted January 21, 2020 Posted January 21, 2020 What do I all need to buy to utilize this new feature in IL-2? I'm kinda confused. Looks like I need to buy a license for Simshaker correct? What are my options for buying one of those force feedback chair pads in the US? Some links would be helpful and recommendations I know a bunch of you guys have some of these already by the looks of it I'm interested. I currently have a Buttkicker 2 mounted below my Obutto cockpit seat. What is needed to get that working in IL-2? Right now it's just going off the bass in the sound engine which is nice, but I'd really like to utilize this new software. It would be cool if someone could make a guide so all this info is easily available. If there's a thread already that has this info I apologize. Thanks for the help!
HokieRob Posted January 22, 2020 Posted January 22, 2020 This may help you as it's what I used to get started. For the simshaker wings software, you'll have to buy a license, and then download the beta version of the software. Hope it helps!

I think a seat is all you really need, anything else is just a bit OTT. The seat will give you all the cues you need, without shaking the chair or house down. The motors are surprisingly strong and vibrate at different points around the seat to vary the information you’re getting. 1 1
NiiranenVR Posted February 3, 2020 Posted February 3, 2020 Well , its still in my mind - so a little look at the marked .. Q : if you have 2-3 50 watts 'speakers' and you want control them individually then have 3 of this Amp 60 watts mono https://www.soundimports.eu/en/lp210pa.html But it's Powered with transformer 22v .... So would it be ok ????
kestrel79 Posted March 26, 2020 Author Posted March 26, 2020 I got myself that lil $7 USB soundcard a few others recommended on here. Going to use that as my secondary audio device to get my Buttkicker working with the Shaker software. Anyone use a DAC to boost their headphone volume? Any recommendations for one to use with some Sennheiser Game Zero headphones and mic?

You use a splitter cable to provide audio that drives the shaker. In audio settings you mirror the output to the shaker as you would for earphones and speakers. 1
WIS-Redcoat Posted September 11, 2020 Posted September 11, 2020 So if I buy a buttkicker to I need to get an amplifier as well? Seems like they go hand in hand.
