HagarTheHorrible Posted April 17, 2014 Posted April 17, 2014 Do you think the BoS developers have applied for some of the cash that's being made available, to support independent developers, to include VR in their games ? I don't know if 777's tie in with 1c still qualifies them as independents but given the, presumably, perfect fit between VR and flight sims it seems a bit like a no brainer. That said, I don't know what the distinction is between adapted for VR and made for VR and whether, for flight sims there is really any difference.
Georgio Posted April 17, 2014 Posted April 17, 2014 I'm fairly sure that Oculus is alreasy supported in BoS, I think BongoDriver has a DK1 and has tried it successfully though of course the resolution is too low for now. When CV1 gets released, hopefully this year the resolution will be at least 1080 if not higher so the experience should be something else. I'm really looking forward to the CV1 as this is definately the future for all visual entertainment.
DD_bongodriver Posted April 17, 2014 Posted April 17, 2014 I do have a DK1 but the devs are not planning to release the Oculus support until much later, I have tried BoS using a 3rd party software but I don't think these 3rd party drivers reflect on what native support would be like, the resolution is low in DK1 but is OK for simply flying around, a higher resolution is required for effective combat.
