do we have these maps?

I'd trade a 1.42 G2 for a Brewster B239 any day of the week and twice on Sunday.

The Brewster is far more engaging, and challenging, and in the end way more satisfying than just saying "Punch it Chewy!" when things get sticky, like a 109 flyer.

I just like planes that can, and did, punch above their weight, to borrow a boxing term.

with a finnland map, yes.

THIS is not IL-2‘46 with myriades of planes and their versions. Too much work and too small team here.

Sadly.

I understand the reasons why, but I do miss the variety we had in the original title.

As much as I would like to see this variant, I highly doubt that there will be any use to none use in IL2. MW50 is effective up to 6000m and who flies higher than 6000m in an usual sortie?

Who flies above 6000m??

Def.... not.... me....

Seems like a pretty simple modification to add into the game requiring little dev work to include it. Such a modification is historically accurate and it expands the game's content at the same time. In conclusion, the vast amount of positives favor that this should be added into the game.

It's very know that Germans flown at high altitude, even they did bombing raid over england during Battle of Brittain with their Ju-86s at 42000 ft (12800 m) escaping from Spitfires over-climbing them.

Moreover, usually many pilots fly at hight altitude 5000 to 7000m (19700ft to 23000ft)  in CombatBox server, eluding the AAA, or draging the dogfight to best performance altitude of his airplanes .
