The poll is unofficial. Pointless, like many others. :)Just informing about desires. :)

Kamikaze.

Makes for a brief career.

Every mission counts, however.

Yes, especially for the Pacific. Although it is now in any mission is possible to make a deliberate ramming. :)

Agent drop off...  need the Storch, and the Lysander!

Such a mission exists for the Ju-52. Nearly. But it is not for the U-2. Although they could now add it to diversify just two types of missions for the U-2!

Storch, of course, would also come in handy. Although for universality, it would be better if Hs 126. But probably there will be neither one nor the other...

A ground attack mission type, that was implemented as last in the old campaign mode. Attack assaulting enemy ground troops. Additionally prepare attack of friendly ground troops, together with artillery fire. The attack assaulting enemy ground troops was in my eyes the best ground mission type, we had. Very disappointing, that we don't have this anymore.

In the long term it'd be nice to have photo-recon require things like being at the correct altitude and flying straight/level while the cameras are firing... some kind of assessment of the quality of the footage obtained (the equivalent reward for getting 'kills' or bomb 'hits')... one could really build up the recon gameplay if it had more gameplay to it than 'carry this extra weight over this waypoint'.

Some night intruder missions will be important for the Mosquito FB.VI, Hurricane II, & German bombers on the Normandy map... as well as for the U-2VS on the Eastern maps.

Night interception (Wild Sau) could probably wait for the inclusion of the Wellington or Lancaster. That said, having a He-111 night fighter career hunting U-2VS in the East (FYI - the highest scoring Luftwaffe aces against the U-2VS were flying He-111s as night fighters) would be good.

However, I do think that improving the quality of the ground target templates (e.g. complex rail yards, more river barges) is the priority!

It isn't just the mission types... but it is the quality of the targets they are going after... I would rather have a few done well than to try to capture all types of careers poorly. That said, having carriers for photorecon, night witches, coastal patrol... a lot of these things could open up quite a few new gameplay experiences using the existing maps and aircraft. But, I really think improving them templates for ground targets is the first step.

I remember the river shipping hunt in the "old campaign system", and I loved it

Recon missions are ok too:

- either ennemy transportation monitoring (you overfly railways and or roads and try to count and identify ennemy trafic)

or

- reconnaissance of a position

- Loco hunting is fun too

That's already a thing in RoF.

Already in the game. :)

Yes, I agree that would be a good thing to improve.

There were excellent career missions in the ROF. Like those Recon mission where you have to manually take photos and those aerial observer arty spot missions. Night missions would be great too.

Cargo delivery/evacuation/liaison missions and escorting them would be my top pick.

Aerial resupply would be beautiful to see as more available mission. Getting those board wrapped parcels delivered to troops in Stalingrad would be sweet.

Thanks! I'd missed the update (it wasn't out when the initial release happened)!

This would also make flying a catapult launched floatplane a lot more interesting... :) It would effectively give the little bird more firepower than any other aircraft in-game.

Pretty much all of the above.  I'd also like to see:

Armed recon - Locate and reconnoiter three strategic waypoints for mission success.

Far recon - Unarmed flight.  Find and reconnoiter one distant waypoint for mission success.

Night harassment - Maintain presence over defended area for set time or until relieved for mission success.

What about a cam-ship launching Hurricane to intercept the spy over convoy  -black sea until we get open seas ?
