Sybreed Posted January 14, 2020 Posted January 14, 2020 (edited) I had the reinstall the Virpil software in order to make it detect the pedals I just received, and now, the game no longer recognizes my Virpil gear. Throttle, grip, joystick, pedal. But, DCS recognizes them just fine? Anyone else had that issue? Is there a work around? Already took me an hour to make the damn pedals work because the software is an atrocity. I have the december 18th version of the software.... oh and ironically, when I launch the game I have a message that says "we detected new hardware - MT50 CM throttle" ........ Sybreed Posted January 14, 2020 Author Posted January 14, 2020 probably fixed... I had to delete what was inside the input folder and redo all my bindings again. It sucks, but at least things work now....
nickj123 Posted January 15, 2020 Posted January 15, 2020 You've discovered the joys of the input configuration files in Il-2! If you have everything working and ever see the "we detected new hardware" message on launch then exit the game and unplug whatever you just connected, as that message is the precursor for having your devices.txt file overwritten and possible controller issues thereafter. If you need to add a new device and you have less than 8 devices in your devices.txt file then you 'should' be OK.
TCW_Brzi_Joe Posted January 15, 2020 Posted January 15, 2020 Backup your IL-2 input folder now. Do not leave it for "later". If your devices switch places after deleting devices.txt, you still can later change joy0, 1, 2... with notepad in file current.actions , that saved me a few times.

WheelwrightPL Posted January 16, 2020 Posted January 16, 2020 (edited) From my experience it is worth connecting all this eastern-european gear to a dedicated USB hub which has its own power-cable. My VKB setup was no longer detected after a while, so I bough a cheap AMAZON USB hub, plugged it all in and my problems went away. Edited January 16, 2020 by WheelwrightPL
