1PL-Husar-1Esk Posted January 11, 2020 Posted January 11, 2020 Same with negative to positive G alternation. IMHO the effect should be much faster to appear.
No.23_Gaylion Posted January 11, 2020 Author Posted January 11, 2020 (edited) This was the first time I had ever seen it, well, right before this video. Was coming down to land from high alt and I was being silly flopping the rudder left and right sideslipping. Notice blurred vision and TIR acting weird and stopped then noticed the above affects. Recalling the first time, I feel like it came on really quick. If you look at the video, it only really starts about the 20 second mark. 5 seconds after I started applying left and right rudder. Need to see that -\+ g! Edited January 11, 2020 by US213_Talbot
Zooropa_Fly Posted January 11, 2020 Posted January 11, 2020 So as long as you're not flying like a complete dick you should be ok ? 1
No.23_Gaylion Posted January 11, 2020 Author Posted January 11, 2020 (edited) Yeah, that's my problem.? I'd be interested to hear from the DR1/Camel jockeys if they have seen this when they are going flippy/floppy circle fights. Edited January 11, 2020 by US213_Talbot
Feathered_IV Posted January 11, 2020 Posted January 11, 2020 I use the Camel all the time. Never seen that though. I quite like it though. It’s how I hoped hypoxia effects might look like.
BMA_Hellbender Posted January 11, 2020 Posted January 11, 2020 Smell of camembert finally overpowered you, jawohl? 1
RNAS10_Oliver Posted January 11, 2020 Posted January 11, 2020 (edited) Yeh I’ve seen the motion sickness in game. There was videos in the general part of the forums showing the same thing. So went and tried it myself also. That said I’ve not experienced it when I’ve just been flying about on servers and etc. Maybe I have succumbed to the motion sickness and just not realised though. HagarTheHorrible Posted January 11, 2020 Posted January 11, 2020 I haven’t particularly noticed any fatigue effects, grey outs yes but not fatigue. I would have thought aircraft with a high roll rate, such as the Pfalz DIII might be more susceptible but it might be aircraft and axis specific, heavy controls resulting in quicker fatigue effects.
ACG_Bobo Posted January 11, 2020 Posted January 11, 2020 Pretty amazing Talby, I didn't realize the effect was so extreme. And long lasting.
J5_Adam Posted January 11, 2020 Posted January 11, 2020 Let this be a lesson to us all. Fly straight and level!!!?
SeaW0lf Posted January 11, 2020 Posted January 11, 2020 The fatigue sets in at every long fight for everyone I think, in the sense that the gray-outs and blackouts become easier as it goes. Like the developers said, after a dogfight in Il-2 you have to take a break and tell the opponent: “Hold my beer”. I never felt that disorientation effect because I think that we are following a pattern when we make turns. 1
