Game not saving my key commands

When I start the game all my key / axis assignments are gone.  When I re-assign everything for keyboard and joystick and exit game, nothing is saved.  Anyone else having this issue?  Any fix would be appreciated.

I also have this problem and I solve it like this:
when setting up your controls, press "save as"

 

 

 

 

 

give your configuration a name that will be saved on this route
? \ Users \ Documents \ 1C SoftClub \ il-2 sturmovik cliffs of dover

mine is called pienoir

 

 

 

 

 

When the game starts press "load"
and find your configuration file in that path "C: \ Users \ Documents \ 1C SoftClub \ il-2 sturmovik cliffs of dover"

 

 

 

,and finish by pressing "apply"

 

you can save all the settings you wan,for example one for twin engines

Could be Steam Cloud, disable this for CloD.

In Steam Interface, right click over game name > Properties > Updates tab and leave "Steam Cloud" unchecked.

 

Other probable "culprit": controls assignments are save in the file ConfUser.INI in folder "Documents\1C... dover\ 

can happens that Windows UAC settings are preventing overwrite .INI files.
