SAMSUNG TV 32" issue...

Hi guys,

Since a week or so I am having trouble with a SAMSUNG 32" TV used as a PC Monitor (I haven't touched the settings at all...)

It seems that the inside of the cockpit only looks right when I'm facing the sun. If I head in any other direction, the cockpit looks almost black (see the screenshots).

Any advice or suggestion will be very appreciated as I have no idea how to solve this problem.

Thank you very much in advance.

Regards,

TVs often come with overly contrasty and unnatural settings from the factory. Is your TV model on rtings.com? That site has recommended settings for the models that they review. Try toning down the contrast or other settings on your TV menu. Also try adjusting the gamma in IL2.

Thank you very much for your advise. My TV model is not on rtings.com but I'll try to toning down the settings on my TV menu.

I don't know what happened, it worked fine until a few days ago...

The gamma in IL-2 is set to 0.8

The image above is counter to what should happen - the instrument panel should be dark (in shadow) when the sun is in front of you, but should be lighter otherwise. Is there a dynamic contrast on your TV that is active? I have a Samsung as well and it tries to darken and lighten the screen depending on what's being displayed and I had to turn that off.

The dynamic contrast is off.

I've been "playing" a bit with the settings and it seems to work fine now…
