56 Sqn looking for a sister squadron to work with.

Hello folks,

 

56 Sqn RAF are looking for another squadron to work with in cooperation on MP servers, particularly Combat Box, so please send me a personal message on the forum if you like the sound of this idea so that we can discuss it.  My thoughts are that we could provide fighter escort for each other on bombing missions, or if you are a dedicated bomber squadron then we could be your fighter escort.

 

56 sqn RAF currently fly almost exclusively on IL-2 GB, though there are some members who dabble in DCS and Flying Circus as well. 

 

Our members are a friendly and good natured bunch who have a passion for WW2 aircraft and aviation in general. 

 

Currently we have a hard core of about 6-8 flying regularly on Sundays & Wednesdays, from about 8pm to 10pm local UK time.   Sometimes two or three of us will meet up on other days or nights unofficially and fly casually.  I tend to fly almost every night of the week.

 

Our membership is mostly UK based, but we also have members from Poland and the Netherlands. 
 

The Spitfire and Tempest V are historical rides for 56 Sqn, so we often fly these aircraft on BoBP maps at the moment, together with the P38, P47 and A20 for mud moving.  On other maps we fly mostly Russian aircraft and probably fly Spitfires, Yak1bs/Yak7bs and the Pe2 more than any others.  Some of us lean more towards bombers, some of us lean more towards fighters and some of us like flying bombers just as much as the fighters.  

 

Please don't hesitate to get in touch with me if you are interested in the idea of inter squad cooperation on MP and would like to give it a go.

I would like to thank you guys for the cooperation yesterday on the "Combat Box"! Awesome to fly with you guys, very professional yet easy going and fun. Hope to see more of this cooperation in the future.

I would also like to apologize for the abrupt disconnection during the AAR, I was needed elsewhere in the house ;).

Thanks Flamm, we very much enjoyed working with you and all the 322 Sqn pilots, so many thanks to you all too :)

 

No worries about having to leave part way through the debrief (you had warned us anyway).  Special thanks to you for leading the fighters, particularly after such a difficult start and the knock-on effect regarding fuel states.

 

It was great taking out the target in one pass :)

The Combat Box is a regular multiplayer server by Red Flight. Its hosted nearly 24/7 and has a good player base. You can join at any time basically
