Official Historical and Historically Based Fictional/Personal Skinpack

 

Jasta 5 and Schlasta 27b and skins for various other planes in Jagdgruppe II are now available in 4K via Haluters Skinpack Downloader (HSD).  See link below.

8/6/25 Update:  Jagdgruppe 2 liveries available!

I am pleased to inform you officially that 18 Jagdgruppe 2 generic default liveries of 1917/1918 airframes for Jastas 34b and 46 are now available on HSD!   Simply use the filter function in HSD at the bottom of the screen to search for "Jagdgruppe 2" in the IL2 Group form field (see picture).     There is no change to Jasta 5 liveries at this time which remain available under the Jagdstaffel 5 IL2 Group filter. 

The entire set is based on historical or historically based liveries.  In cases where no records were available, the time frame of the war when the Jasta served or when certain planes would have been in service informed choices on camouflage and cross markings.   Additionally, to provide cohesive flight line appearance and consistent in game-identification, unit markings and styles were extended to airframes that otherwise would not have had any or are not known to have been assigned to a unit historically.  Prosit, and enjoy!

May be me, but once I extract the rars from your zip file I cannot open them, they all seem to be corrupted. I downloaded it twice to be sure it's not download corruption (same result). Is there alternative repository?

I hope to spend some time Sunday evening updating some of the files.  Suggest you hold off and see if my work helps.  There are several .rar files within the master .rar file by the way.  I'm sure you know about where the proper file locations are so won't mention that.  If you have trouble continuing, send me a PM with a screenshot of what you have going on at your end.

Feedback very much appreciated, usually you miss stuff when you do a lot of skins. Reds and greens on dvii, dviif, pfalz and to some extent dri bought in line with albies. Reds looked a bit pink earlier.

Downloaded them all - having a flick through them now! 

I think the altered bump map with the removed rivet has made its way into the pack as a skin....! Either that or I dropped it into my skin folder by accident...! 

Red looks far better on the D.VIIs...

A read-only channel with a link to any relevant skin packs might be a decent easy-to-access resource and won't be buried by other threads a la forum
