Monostripezebra Posted December 31, 2019 Author Posted December 31, 2019 (edited) I made it into a little guide just to maybe hope to get others to bomb more from higher up.. Really just a very basic idea giver on how to aim Edited December 31, 2019 by Monostripezebra 1
Raptorattacker Posted December 31, 2019 Posted December 31, 2019 THAT is a real education Mr M. S. Zebra!! Fair play to you, you HAVE gotten it down pretty pat by the looks of it...
NO.20_W_M_Thomson Posted March 9, 2020 Posted March 9, 2020 Beautiful. Thank you for the guide, Us 20th are planning to do high alt bombing and I'm sure this will help. We have a new map that has high alt bombing practise, If you ever see us on our server maybe you can hop in and give us some pointers. Thanks again. 1

Very cool, I love it.. gameplay wise, especially when i am on the opposing site. Seeing formations up high with escorts and fighting them is super fun for all sides! But unfortunately in a game environment there are a lot of factors that work against it, in a gaming the game sense.. if you want to win a server, altitude attack is usually at a disadvantage as it takes more time (you can do 2-3x the runs in the limited server run time with mudcreeping) and in the sparsely populated digital world creeping low over the lines is a lot more viable as a strategy against detection then it would have been in WW1. In Flying Circus, the allied side has also the disadvantage that you have a severe speedlimit during the bomb run (else you can not use the sight) and the pilot has to stay focused on the sight as the brisfit sight does not allow to tilt and pre-aim, so you have to wait until the target shows up to make last corrections.. while the enemy knows your limitations on speed and altitude dictated by the hardware. Making the brisfit work as bomber up high is something not soo many players love.

Yup I can vouch for that, But escort don't want to fly low, so bristfit pilots are stuck between a rock and a hard spot, Unless we get a bunch of nasty camel jocks to watch our backs. Up high we get the D7F's just chomping at the bit to get us. The life of a Bristol pilot is a tough one. Plus in the Bristol you have 2 heights you can bomb from 3500 and 4000 Meters. life is so much easier for the cl2 pilots.
