Where must the game software reside ? Must I use Steam ? many thanks BobMurphy123
dburne Posted December 28, 2019 Posted December 28, 2019 Hi Bob, I responded to your post on this yesterday in this thread:
BobMurphy123 Posted December 28, 2019 Author Posted December 28, 2019 Hi dburne Thank you. I am very close now using Steam VR - but still no prize I am standing in the Il-2 Sturmovik Hangar in VR mode with a screen that says ENTER - but I have no way to move the mouse arrow or any other controller to select it. Any ideas how to move forward would be most appreciated Cheers Bob
Lusekofte Posted December 29, 2019 Posted December 29, 2019 Are you sure you dont have to [alt]+[tab] to get mouse working? it happened to me once ir twice. Then another program was active and mouse did not work
CalaveraLoco Posted December 29, 2019 Posted December 29, 2019 (edited) I have to regularly alt-tab at the begining or (equivalently) click on the VR mirror window. Edited December 29, 2019 by CalaveraLoco
BP_Lizard Posted December 29, 2019 Posted December 29, 2019 Yeah. If there’s a process running in the foreground then the mouse cursor will not move. Lift up your headset to see the monitor and alt tab to either shutdown that process or select IL-2.
BobMurphy123 Posted December 29, 2019 Author Posted December 29, 2019 Good to go now. Fantastic effect. Thanks for your help Now.... any suggestion for air sickness ? I am a pilot and I fly a 1940 DH-82A Tiger Moth for real but this VR is giving me the whirlies

BobMurphy123 Posted December 29, 2019 Author Posted December 29, 2019 Good advice. I think a few scenic cross countries will be better than an 8 ship fur ball thanks again
