IL2 BoS Career pilot record overwritten by transferred AI pilot with an identical name

It appears that a player's Career pilot record (using an unchanged randomly assigned name at start) is overwritten when an AI pilot of the same name is transferred to the player's squadron. This includes kill numbers, number of sorties and flight hours but not awards. This is obviously an unlikely occurrence but it just happened to me. The pilot transferred message showed the pilot's name as highlighted in yellow as if it was the player. My pilot now has a Knight's Cross and the rest of my previous awards but with a kill number of 4 instead of my prior 60+ kills.
