o7 salutations pilots!

 

I finally made the move to get the three il2 campaigns on the steam holiday sale the other day, as a returning il2 player I feel right at home and now in VR its beyond amazing ? this is what the dream was about since 2001. Dont know what took me so long though ?

 

Now I'm just fooling around getting familiar with the new il2 in vr and best and fastest way I thought was to set up a private server,  just get all the controls mapped and to familiarize myself in the new environment. But I seem to be missing something or I just don't know how to do it, eager as one is ? when selecting map I only get to choose the example map, this hints to that I probably will have to get down with the editor?

Hello horsky.  Welcome to the IL2 forums and merry christmas to you and yours too.

 

So let me understand this:  You've got Battles of Stalingrad, Moscow and Kuban on Steam and you've got the game up and running in VR with no probs?  Excellent!  and yep, IL2 in VR is bonkers good!? 

 

If I remember correctly there will be only the example dogfight mission in your game at the moment.  If you go online and  select a server and join it that mission will then be  in your multiplayer>dogfight folder and you will be able to select it and launch it on the server you create.
