Connection issue

I just picked up stalingrad and Bodenplatte, on steam and downloaded them and went to launch the game, input my already created account email and password and get #2 your connection to master-server was temporarily lost. Check your internet connection.

 

I disabled shadowplay
All drivers are up to date
Windows defender
No other games having issues

Are the servers down or something?

I suggest to launch the game directly from the IL-2.exe, which you will find in the game directory in your Steam library. Don't use the launch.exe.

Best, just create a short-cut of the IL-2.exe on your desktop.

Thanks for the quick reply.  I just tried it but it says #4 Wrong e-mail or password.   I just logged out of the website and back in using the same username/password and logging into the website is fine.

Make 100% sure to use the e-mail address AND password you used to buy the products.

I purchased it on steam.  So research brings me to a page on here that says do not use the  il-2.exe on newer versions.  But yet when i use the steam launcher option, it gives me the master-server message.

I believe it got it to work.  I launched it in steam, then selected that its my first time.  It launched steam in a browser, i logged in, it then launched the IL2 web browser and since i was already logged in it then popped a window up saying it synced.   Strange that i couldnt just login since i already had an account and selected that i did and tried to sink the normal way.
