Devs In the Forums

It’s always been there for me, but I just wanted to put in writing a personal “thank you” out there for all the dev teams involved in the making of all these great series over the years in writing.
 

It really hadn’t hit me much until I noticed how many individual devs, and of course Jason from time to time - will chime in and respond and/or ask the person posting in a forum to PM them with more information concerning a matter on a given topic. This naturally tells me that the devs themselves, let alone the producer himself, ACTUALLY TAKES TIME OUT to carouse the forums, and not just the bugs forums either, but others as well. The latest thread discussion on the last update by Han version 4.003 I think really shows that, with various devs and Jason himself posting asking for more information on matters of concern. Yeah, this isn’t ground breaking news exactly, but as I sat there thinking of all the game titles now collecting dust because the product(s) never lived up to its promises, it just made me appreciate this team even more.

 

Personally, (as in my own experience) I can’t think of another software producer that is so “hands on” in responding to it’s constituents (albeit seeming “whiney” at times as us flight simmers are a fickle bunch) and really takes the time to go through and READ these forums in order for the rest of the dev teams to gleam more information in order to better further the product. 
 

My experience has been with other software companies to be the exact opposite - I tend to think none of the developers ever “bothers” to look at any of the forums, let alone respond to pressing issues such as bugs, CTD’s and the like. They take your money and leave you sitting there with promises unfulfilled and a half baked product right out of the box, literally.
 

So once again two thumbs up and “thank you” once again Jason and all of the dev teams involved for taking such a “hands on” approach in order to make a great product even better and actually taking the time to listen and care about what the customer is saying in such a direct way.

 

My apologies to the moderators if I posted this in the wrong area and to any who may be in disagreement with me as it’s strictly just my humble opinion and the reasons for such as stated above.

These guys really are top notch. I have to say, just a couple of years ago I was quite disparaging on Facebook because I didnt see the value. Now, I'm fully invested because the product is excellent. Just get the MP stutter worked out and this sim is golden. But I'm still in it for the long run. I would have gotten BoN already had my wife not overspent on Christmas already. No matter, I'll be all in once this holiday nonsense passes.
