The-Doctor Posted December 19, 2019 Posted December 19, 2019 Hello guys i was wondering if i can remove the annoying haze looks like very light fog in the map sometimes takes bluish colouration In the medium to close distance i know it supposed to be in the long distance i use valve index i7-8700k OC 4.7Ghz 32 gb ram 3200Mhz 1080Ti
Gomoto Posted December 20, 2019 Posted December 20, 2019 (edited) Sure it is not just the display of the index? I imagine the display induced white fog of my reverb as real fog. That way I can endure the low color saturation. That high resolution of the reverb also helps to bear with the fog ? Edited December 20, 2019 by Gomoto 1
The-Doctor Posted December 20, 2019 Author Posted December 20, 2019 if you mean god rays , no the god rays i'm familiar with it it's a VR problem but i'm taking about a light bluish haze in the map e.g in DCS World i didn't notice the haze unlike il-2 it's clear
Gomoto Posted December 20, 2019 Posted December 20, 2019 I know god rays from my Oculus HMDs (DK2 and CV1). I am not experiencing god rays with my reverb. The reverb screen is not as colorful as my desktop pc, this is one aspect. But there is indeed a programmed fog in IL2 too, perhaps it is necessary for performance. Otherwise it would be a nice option to turn it off. Perhaps this is something to check? I do not like to use the modenabler myself, I would really prefer an official option. 1
Wraithzlt Posted December 21, 2019 Posted December 21, 2019 I play using a HP Reverb. I was having major issues with this modeled fog too, i couldnt spot planes at mid range anymore. The only way i found of removing it is to change Horizon Draw Distance to max. Fog is removed, however performance will suffer a little. 2
Talisman Posted December 21, 2019 Posted December 21, 2019 (edited) Hi Doc, Not sure if this will help, but I got an improvement in reducing haze by increasing 'Horizon draw distance' to maximum 150 km, and 'Distant landscape detail' to x4. If you are already using these settings then I am afraid I can't help. Good luck.
