Battle of Bodenplatte

Hi I have the tank crew and I was thinking about getting Battle Of Bodenplatte but is it worth it for tanks

Judgement call...Bodenplatte isn't a Tank Crew specific map, so don't expect any/much content for a while. Also the lanscape isn't of the same detail, but snow hides some of that.

I have some snow/Battle of the Bulge, atmospheric/foggy/crap weather Tiger missions planned but it will be a while...things to get done first so I'm keeping myself away from the tanks until my current job cue is clear. Sherman versions will come after we have the player controllable/American Sherman

In BoN you wont get any special new stuff for tank crew. You can only use the map and it's content. There wont be a caimpaign for you.

With Normandy on the way I think tank Crew will expand vey quickly , it is all in place I am sure

Tank crew will only expand if enough customer bought/will buy it. I really hope they do but i am not very optimistic. I haven't heard any news about further tank crew development.

There are still three of the ten tanks missing, plus, if they are still planned, the two truck/halftruck mounted AA guns. And especially when it is about TC, the Devs didn't tell very much, what is planned. So it is really hard to tell, what will come.

There are still some grave problema with AI and such (visibility!) which kind of slows TC down. Ao I think for now TC wasn't very lucratuve, but I supppse any subsequent title would be much lower in cost to produce. But they would need to find a proper vision for TC in Il-2. To split tank and plane maps for example is not the best idea.

I'm very keen to buy TC I just find it pretty expensive for what you get. $120 AUD for EA and it only gets more expensive after release. I do understand all the arguments about staying afloat and generate income, yet I really think they need to consider if they can lower the price and get more customers to pick it up as it will then almost be like BoS that it works as a base on which much can be built from there on which they can then make some profit. 

 

I wish they would try and put TC on sale and see how many people would pick it up. I think this would give them an idea of the interest instead of more hoping that people outside the core customers will pick it up after release.

TC is not ready yet. They can not put it on sale because it would be unfair for those who allready bought it.

Agree, to both in fact. I pre ordered both FC1 and Bodenplatte last year, and now feel i quite overpaid as both were dumped already 50% a month ago.

But they could sweeten a bonus deal for existing clients in some way. 2 for the price of one LoL when you bought more stuff already? 

 

I would like to buy TC and Normandy, but have a sort of nasty aftermath taste from BP and FC1.

 

FC1 still feels if it's not finished yet, especially compared to Rise of Flight's content. A pity, as i really like it, but i have seen enough of just that boring Noman's land Map and even tried a 3rd party map-patch without it LoL. Not a living soul in those unfinished trenches looking like undie zippers going nowhere, not even a command post where you can shoot at least a General:
