Maybe - but he sure is a passionate pilot. He's got even a professional pilot licence and - believe it or not - his main job is airline pilot or at least was

until some years ago. Anyway, I've got his biography and this chap is really amazing... and his music too, of course!

Outstanding guy, as You can read in his autobiography, "What does this Button do?"

Usually I'm absolutely not interested in autobiographies, but this one is exceptional for me because Bruce combines my two greatest passions, which is Heavy Metal and aviation.

Iron Maiden even toured 3 times with chartered airliners. First in 2008 with an 757 and later two times with an 747 showing unique Iron Maiden themes on the fuselage while Bruce flew the 'Ed Force One' himself.

I've witnessed a departure in Düsseldorf 4 Years ago.

I've seen Maiden 18 times live and also witnessed a reading session given by Bruce to advertise his book in Cologne last year. This was nothing but fascinating.

He also owns a Fokker Dr I replica which he flew before headlining the Show at Sonisphere in 2014.

Here he visited the MeierMotors Flugwerft in Germany prior to a gig in Freiburg in 2018 where he took a Mustang for a spin.

Last but not least this is also a fascinating part of his career. While he left Iron Maiden for good in 1994, he focused on his solo project, (which is btw nothing but excellent) and gave a concert in the besieged city of Sarajevo thus risking health and live.

He even became honored citizen of this town last year.

This can be seen on this DVD, which gave me goosebumps and dry throats. It's not about the "Rockstar", but about the people who suffered so badly back then.

An impressive documentary!
