WWDriftwood Posted December 17, 2019 Posted December 17, 2019 Question If a server allows "Alternate Plane Visibility" for realism settings / and / I have unchecked alternate plane visibility in my game settings. Am I forced to used the "alternate plane visibility" on servers with alternate plane visibility enabled? / OR / will I get the standard visibility if mine is unchecked? Example: Some things seem to default to my settings even thought a server allows it, some don't... Server allows auto pilot, I have mine unchecked, so I don't get auto pilot if I press the keys even though the server allows it. So, by leaving my alternate plane visibility unchecked, will my view stay this way regardless of what a server allows? Hope that makes sense.
Leon_Portier Posted December 17, 2019 Posted December 17, 2019 Hmm, as far as I know, the realism settings the server uses are applied to you completely. I dont know any servers using alt visiblilty to my sadness. 1

If you leave alternate visibility unchecked, and the server has Alternate Visibility activated, you will have Alternate Visibility. The server setting prevails. I know this because, when Combat Box was testing Alt Vis vs. Normal Vis, I left my settings at normal visibility but the visibility was clearly still alternate. 1
