Is there a way to have more than 10 linked entry blocks active in a mission? Integrity Check says the limit is 10 ....

I think you can run ok with things over the IC limit.

It's more a warning, and obviously if you push it too far you may get problems eventually.

S!

I never reached the real limit so no idea, but seems to be in the hundreds.

Ah ..thanks ...

PS is there a way to 'lock' blocks in their position on the FMB map? Selecting more than one block for grouping with control and the mouse often ends that  that friggin' R function is inadvertently active, and before you know it their location changes ... alas there's still no UNDO function implied in the FMB.

I don't know of a way to lock them as such.

I try and do all my 'block work' at the start, then hide it all away in a group so they don't have to be selected again.

If you inadvertantly move / rotate them, it's not the end of the world to start over if there's nothing else on the map.

Yea, tried that, but in selecting building blocks afterwards for linked entry in regards of bombing makes it sometimes annoying.

Welcome to the club. And when you have a group that has a large square on the map (it can be just two objects but very far apart, the rotation square in the bottom right is sometimes large as the screen. So you want to translate and bang it all rotates, and no way to go back exactly because you have no clue, as your brain functioned in translation mode. Except if you had a very clear reference position on the map to which the object/s is/are related to you can come back more or less precisely. Anyway it is a loss of time.

I got also another issue sometimes, and that is when you have selected some objects and when finished instead of deselecting (you forget it) you select another object or group of objects which then become additionally selected and when you move or rotate all the objects move. If you are zoomed to the max and concentrated to one of the objects in the group then you do not see that you have also moved the previous objects that you had to finish working with. Depending on the situation it can be a mess.

In order to add to your selection you must ctrl/select - so not sure how this happens to you?

It happens when you use the search and select tool. When you find and select the object in fact it is equivalent to a ctr/select. So if you forgot to deselect before using this function then bingo.

Ahh...I have things grouped in such a way that I rarely use that function.

It helps from time to time, mainly with the blocks of the cities. When you have the number of the block and you do not want to go find the city (Kuban are many) then select groups under groups etc. with the search and select and the number it is very quick and you can select even if you are not in working mode.

Horses for courses.

I have the needed cities in a separate group (where I have damage, smoke, targets etc) Scenery/My Cities/Aachen/Aachen buildings, Aachen smoke, Aachen craters etc.
