Gyro Gunsight setting defaults

It would be really nice if users had a way to set a default setting for each aircraft's gyro gunsight.  As it is, the K-14 in the P-51D (and I'm guessing all the others as well) defaults to a 75 foot wingspan and 500 yards range.  If you are starting out in a cold airplane, and need to start up and take off - no problem, it just takes a minute or so to fiddle with it and get things where you want them - you can then make minor changes as needed when airborne.  But if you are doing a quick mission or a mission with an air start, it's a little problematic when you have to mess with your gunsight for a minute or two just to get in the ball park of where it should be.

If we can't get a user preference, could we at least get a default that's in the ball park for engaging the common fighters of the day?  The P-51,P-47 and Spitfire were all primarily engaging Luftwaffe fighters in late '44 and 1945.  Likewise, the 190D-9 was primarily being used in a tactical role against Allied fighters and fighter bombers.  I'm sure most pilots would leave their sight dialed to a rational setting in most cases.  Maybe something like 300 yards/meters for a range (though the range is far less of a problem since you need to be dialing it anyway), and 33ft (32ft 7" for the 109 and 34ft 6" for the 190) wingspan for the Allies?  Likewise, for the Axis the Spitfire, Mustang, P-47 and Tempest has wingspans of 36ft 10", 37ft, 40ft 9" , and 41ft (11.23-12.5m).  That way, you are set up to jump right in against fighters in a quick battle etc - and if you are engaging bombers you'll have the time to dial in as necessary.

Seconded. Nice as it it, I dislike having to constantly adjust wing span and range to usable values when jumping in either P-51 or Dora.

I already posted this in the suggestions section a while ago. The current setting is absurd.

Or learn to shoot, leave the effing gyro-sight at home and take the US non-gyro sight that comes with a ball that helps you flying coordinated/ in trim without going heads-down.

Much more important.

Doesn't matter if you know how to shoot or not, the gyro should be set to common fighters of the day (109).

Many pilots were poor at gunnery, it's the whole reason the gyro gunsight was put into use, that way pilots had a good tool to help in gunnery/deflection shooting.
