Any plans for index controller support?

Not sure if anyone has asked this question, but is there any plans to add support for the valve index controllers so that individual finger tracking can be used and supported in game?

This would basically require the cockpit to be redone klickable.
Has been discussed before and is AFAIK not what the devs have on their plans.

I think this request only makes sense if it was based of a camera (oculus quest, leap motion). I want to be able to flick switches etc, but nothing beats a real joystick or HOTAS in the hand, which is impossible to use with the index controllers. I always hoped when the Index was first shown off (the image without specs) that the secret sauce would be a leap motion built into what is now known as the "frunk". I think this was a missed opportunity.

It makes no sense to implement this idea until controller-less finger tracking is established and built into the main VR headsets... at which point it might become more interesting for the developers.

I wonder how many people play IL2 in VR as a percentage. I really can't imagine not playing it in VR, it is so immersive.

If i remember correct the original il2 engine, the controls in the cockpit was clickable. I just was not sure if this was still around with the new engine. I was thinking one index controller in one hand and joystick in the other, so that you can kinda have a blend. I agree HOTAS is hard to beat, but i did not wanna beat it as much as compliment it. Wish they would make the VR keyboard a real thing, cause it would be a great addition in this game.
