dburne Posted December 11, 2019 Posted December 11, 2019 Oh boy, I was such a big fan of the old MechWarrior series back in the day, many hours spent in those games. Now here we are after such a long gap, a new installment in the series released today. My dilemma - have not played a game on monitor since Jan 2017 as I am a huge VR enthusiast. I so wished this game had support for VR, it would be natural for it. Did not think I would ever buy another game without VR support but might have to make an exception on this one. 1
LLv34_Flanker Posted December 11, 2019 Posted December 11, 2019 S! Also a fan of Mechwarrior series. Those were games that glued you to the screen. Mechwarrior Online was too much of a FPS with mechs. I really hope Piranha Games has made a good game with a strong storyline. Considering to buy it.
OrLoK Posted December 11, 2019 Posted December 11, 2019 (edited) exactly my thoughts, dburne looking forward to it! Edited December 11, 2019 by OrLoK
Blutaar Posted December 11, 2019 Posted December 11, 2019 MW5 is such a disapointment for me. The best stuff from MWO, the costumization in the mechlab where i spent more time then playing, is gone or at least castrated to a boring point. Locked engines, restricted energy and ballistic hardpoints and no endo-steel or ferro upgrades. The deluxe package also is a joke. Dont buy if you liked MWOs costumization part more then the actual gameplay.

I don't even use VR, so it wouldn't affect me. But why would you launch a game like MW5 in 2019 without VR support? Its a perfect candidate for it!

Oculus should throw some bucks/resources their way to help make it happen.
