LLv34_Temuri Posted December 10, 2019 Posted December 10, 2019 Does anyone have a list of ammunition limits for the different objects? If I have an AAA piece with Limit Ammo on, what's the total amount of rounds it can fire before running out of ammo?
IckyATLAS Posted December 16, 2019 Posted December 16, 2019 It depends on the number of ammo boxes (blocks of two types) you have put around the artillery object. The larger the caliber the less rounds per box. The max number is of 200 rounds per box on the smaller calibers like 12mm or 20mm, and 10 rounds per box for the larger ones like the 88 mm flak rounds. Do not forget to make the ammo box block objects a linked entity and set the number of rounds you want to have in the box as per the advanced properties, considering the above limits mentioned above. When the boxes are empty a target link from the boxes to an MCU can be triggered. Then use the Automatic Reload MCU and object link the ammo boxes, then target link the MCU to the artillery object you want the ammo to be fed to. This allows to select the box ammo group to which artillery piece when you have many of both. You can put the artillery piece and the boxes inside the RRR zone of a vehicle and so you can have your boxes refilled with rounds, every time you activate a target link (from another MCU) to the RRR vehicle. You can see that this is a very interesting feature because what is said above allows you to create the following scenario: Once the boxes are empty you trigger a target link to the waypoint of a Truck that will start from somewhere on the map and arrive nearby the artillery that has emptied its stock of ammo boxes. Once the truck arrives at its last waypoint, this will trigger the RRR vehicle which will then reload the boxes with rounds. It's just fantastic, but all what I said above is in my dreams only ?. Sorry to disappoint you but i think Jason will "never" implement this dream. 1
